IAC Foundation awards $5,000 scholarships to high-achieving, high-performing students from underserved and under-resourced communities.
Applicants must have a demonstrable need for financial assistance, whether their household income falls below the designated national poverty level, or their cultural or family background has placed them at an educational disadvantage. Eligibility will be assessed individually based on the composition and income of a student’s family.

- Analytical reading and writing skills, demonstrating preparedness for selective colleges and universities.
- Scores on the PSAT, SAT, PLAN, and/or ACT.
Applicants must demonstrate an intellectual curiosity and devotion to study. They must demonstrate ethics, integrity, and strength of character. An interest in STEM is preferred.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents (parent status is not required). They must reside in the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut). First-generation college students are given particular consideration.
The scholarship must only be used for tuition, course-related fees, books, supplies and equipment.
- Application will open August 1 at 9AM.

- The scholarship selection and evaluation committee will meet in October for the Fall cycle.
Some recommenders are more comfortable emailing their recommendation letter directly to IAC Foundation, which we can accommodate. If your recommender prefers to do so, please instruct them to send the recommendation to Addison.firstname.lastname@example.org and upload a document in place of the recommendation letter that states who your interviewer is and that they sent it directly to Addison Rothrock, Program Manager.
